Hunt Ridgewood Clothing Store Thief
Police are searching for a man who made off with $1,000 worth of clothing from a Ridgewood clothing store on July 4th.
Cops said the suspect entered a Carter’s Clothing Store at 57-21 Myrtle Avenue in Ridgewood just before noon on Independence Day, where he swiped various children’s clothing items and slipped out of the store in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white shirt, black shorts and red shoes at the time of the burglary, police said.

Straphanger Suffers Broken Arm in Elmhurst Subway Shove
Police are on the lookout for a suspect who shoved a man onto a northbound platform at the Grand Avenue-Newtown subway station on June 29th.
Cops said the 60-year-old victim was riding on the train just before midnight when the suspect approached him and started an argument over a seat. The argument escalated when the suspect threatened to assault the victim and became deadly when he grabbed the victim and shoved him to the platform as the train pulled into the Elmhurst station, police said.
The suspect remained on the train and was captured moments later exiting the Woodhaven Boulevard station, an NYPD spokesperson said.
A team of FDNY medics rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital Center where he was listed in stable condition with a fractured right arm, the spokesperson said.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 25-years-old, 6-feet-tall, 190 pounds, with a dark complexion and thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the word “Supreme” stitched across the front, black striped pants, blue sneakers, a black “White Sox” baseball cap, large headphones and a black backpack.

$3.5K Reward Offered in Roosevelt Avenue Slashing
Police are searching for three men wanted in connection with the violent slashing of a 42-year-old man on Roosevelt Avenue and 94th Street, near the Answer Triangle in Jackson Heights on June 26th.
Eyewitnesses told police that two of the men approached the victim on foot and the third man approached him while riding a bicycle just before 4 a.m. and started slashing him with a sharp instrument. The attack was captured on surveillance video attacking the victim, an NYPD spokesperson said.
The suspects then forcibly removed the victim’s wallet and cell phone from his pockets and ran from the scene in an unknown direction, police said.
A team of FDNY medics rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital Center where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
One of the men was wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt and a dark baseball cap and was carrying a black bag over his shoulder at the time of the attack.
A second suspect was wearing a multi-colored polo shirt and the third, bike-riding suspect was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with a blue graphic on the front and a black knit hat at the time of the attack.
